Today started in a lovely, relaxed and very special way. Normally I get up first and get stuck in to whatever I think needs my attention. That’s usually between 6am and 7am. Early for some I know, but while the days are still long and we have bright mornings I like to enjoy them as much [...] I’m not a food critic. Even in my most pretentious moments (and those that know me would probably say I’ve more than anybody’s fair share of those) I wouldn’t claim to have a palate than can discern the subtleties in every dish I taste. That doesn’t stop me enjoying food and the opportunities to meet up with [...] If I was having dinner in Kilkee I think I’d head to Naughton’s. They do a great trio of fish (the fish selection changes) the staff are friendly and there’s a great buzz in the bar. That doesn’t mean that I’ve anything against Murphy Blacks or The Strand.
