We arrived almost by accident. We’d been to dinner in Ratoath the night before and stayed over. I was feeling a little slow out of the blocks the next morning and P, feeling perfectly fine, decided we were going to be tourists in Meath. We wanted to do at least two hours and have a bit of a climb. We were near Glendalough so Brockagh or Camaderry were strong contenders. But we weren’t going to set off [...] There weren’t very many people walking around Glasnevin Cemetery this week. That ensured that I had unobstructed views of the graveyard in the snow. You could probably add “in the snow” to any photo taken in Ireland in December. For the last week no matter where you went you just couldn’t get away from it. [...] |
